On 10 October 2019, The Ardonagh Group held the third annual Go Green Day, a Group-wide internal fundraising day to support our registered charity, Ardonagh Community Trust (ACT), and its mission to make UK communities better, brighter and stronger.

Ardonagh’s 6,000-strong workforce showed creativity and community spirit as usual in their efforts to dress, eat and act green in honour of our British Racing Green brand and to support more amazing community projects into 2020 and beyond.

The third event was bigger and better than ever with the launch of our very own digital radio station, Radio Ardonagh, which was broadcast across Ardonagh offices throughout the day and was streamed over 3000 times.

Local highlights this year included a Hull-based fitness challenge by Insurance Broking CEO Rob Worrell which raised over £5,000, two escape rooms created in Southport and Darwen, a brand-new Christmas charity single from Cheltenham as well as countless BBQs, bake sales, auctions, fancy dress, raffles and senior leader challenges helped to make Go Green Day 2019 a huge success.

Radio Ardonagh, brought all this action and colleagues across the Group together in real time and this, along with the passion and generosity of our people, suppliers and shareholders, led to a record breaking fundraising total of £90,000.

Group CEO David Ross also announced the launch of a Group-wide volunteering leave programme live on air, allowing all Ardonagh employees to take one day of paid annual leave per calendar year from January 2020 to volunteer for a cause or community project close to their heart.

All funds raised from Go Green Day 2019 will go towards ACT's work with local community and charity projects across the UK, helping the communities our colleagues live and work within to become better, brighter and stronger.
